Applicants must hold and maintain an active security clearance; therefore, US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

  • Must have at minimum an active secret clearance.
  • Competence on Linux command line (8+ years). 
  • Familiarity with basic Linux commands, troubleshooting tools, and network administration configurations.
  • Experience (+10 years) in network administration including design, maintenance, monitoring, and upgrading.
  • Competent experience (10+ years) in virtualization technologies (VLAN configuration, vCenter, etc).
  • Ability to work independently, and demonstrate a strong desire to learn and improve.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff.
  • Stay current on technologies and trends and be capable of making informed suggestions and decisions for technology updates

  • Ensuring our networks meet or exceed standards

  • Experience mentoring junior team members

  • Working with customers to meet their technology needs of the future

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's of Science in IT-related field of study
  • 10 years of previous working experience as a Linux administrator
  • Competent in Shell, Perl, and/or Python scripting
  • Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SSH, SNMP, etc.
  • Familiarity with VMWare
  • Security+ certification
  • Familiarity with DevOps tooling (e.g. Jenkins, Salt, Gitlab)
  • Cybersecurity expertise, including adversarial awareness and common IT Security requirements

 

Education 

  • Relevant college degree plus three years of experience, or five years of relevant experience
